The staff was excellent there. The breakfast was amazing, and the room was even better. I got the en suite room, and it was very much worth it. The bathroom was new, clean, and very big. The room had two double beds and a queen with plenty of room to spare. The location was right in downtown kildare. If I ever go back I will definately be staying there again.
Booked a double and a single room for one night both rooms where very big and had two double beds!
Our room smelt very badly on arrivel, a mouldy smell, like you mopp the floor with a rotten mop. Wanted to make a coffe but when I saw the kettle which was black and gree inside I been turned off.We came home at mightnight and went to bed, two hour later we woke up because the people next door (four of them) arrived drunken and made a lot of noise, "walls" seems to be made of paper!i had to get up and told them to "shut up" which tey did not. Nobody from the Hotel was available that time. My Friend in her single room had a similar problem and no sleep either as her neighbors where "fighting" until 5am!
Extremely friendly reception, very friendly staff. Really a consolation for us weary travelers.
The curse of Irish B&Bs: Extremely bad soundproofing. Could almost make out the words of our neighbors. If you are sensitive to noise, you will be in hell in this place. Appliances like water heater screwed to the table, made me think of prison. Room much less attractive than the ones shown on the web site. Hard to find.
tasteful decor in rooms, old style architecture, nice
We got a family room for four for € 100 for the night, also a full irish breakfast was only €5 a head when staying and 4 free passes for the onsite nightclub. Not bad €30 a head for a hotel with breakfast and a nightclub....
Nothing - this is not a hotel rather a converted house behind a pub.My room appeared to be the former caretaker's room - attached to the side of the house.
I couldn't get the door locked and there was frosted glass in half of the door panel. Since I was traveling alone, I put my suitcase up against the door. It was late when I arrived and I was tired so I didnpt want to go back outside and to the pub for help in this matter. This is not a hotel rather a large house behind a pub that has been converted. My room was attached to the main house on ground level so I didn't feel safe. And with the defective lock and glass panel in the door - definately would not recommend this place
Rooms were spacious and elegantly refurbished. The staff was incredible.
the staff are friendly and well organised,i got a call from a staff member after i booked four rooms and was asked did i want all the rooms together, did i want twin or double beds, smoking or non smoking.i asked could a get a few free complimentary passes for the nightclub and there was 10 passes left in my room.the breakfasts and meals were first class and the service was excellent, what more could you ask for.
Central location. Separate bars and restaurant rooms. Free car parking.
Rooms are comfortable, but can be some disturbance from neighbouring rooms, particularly at coming home time from the nightclub at 3am
Our group of seven adults was given a separate wing of the hotel....it felt very intimate and cozy to have our own space. Thanks!
The check-in process was a little slow, but the staff were very accomodating in getting the best room arrangement for our group of seven persons.
very little to recommend - poor quality accommodation
Very central location in centre of Kildare, excellent flexibility in meal times -dinner/bar menu up to 10pm, breakfast served to 12.00md food quality was excellent and prices very competitive.
In centre of town, but very quiet at night. Adjacent restaurant and bar gave good variety of food at reasonable prices, plus good quality.
It should be emphasised that this is not a hotel, but a B + B attached to a public house. It is across a courtyard/car park, so it is quiet.
Spacious & Bright Room
Dirty floor, dirty cushions, someones dirty socks left behind by the previous guest, the front door slams every time a guest walks in or out of the building (not good if you want to relax). This hotel or B & B is not part of the bar / restaurant it is an old house at the back of the bar in a car park / service area
Everything was on site, pub, nite club, restaurant and bar food. The bar food was excellent and great value for money €15 for 2 courses was fantastic.
I didn't have any complaints really, but I thought it was more of a B&B set up than a hotel
